Der Kidepo Valley National Park liegt im abgelegenen Nordosten Ugandas, nahe der Grenzen zu Südsudan und Kenia. Mit 1’442 km² ist er eines der vielfältigsten und zugleich unberührtesten Schutzgebiete Afrikas. Weite Savannen, felsige Hügel und saisonale Flussläufe prägen das Landschaftsbild.
Der Park gilt als Geheimtipp für Safari-Puristen. Hier leben Löwen, Geparden, Elefanten, Büffel, Schakale und zahlreiche Antilopenarten. Auch seltene Vogelarten wie der Strauss und der Karminspint lassen das Herz von Naturfreunden höherschlagen.

Aktivitäten im Kidepo Valley National Park
- Pirschfahrten in Narus- und Kidepo-Tal – Beobachtungen von Raubkatzen und grossen Herden in spektakulären Landschaften.

Lage & Anreise
Der Park liegt ca. 700 km von Kampala entfernt (ca. 12 Std. Fahrt). Alternativ sind Charterflüge zu den Landepisten im Park möglich (ca. 2 Std. ab Entebbe).
